The Town of Grafton recently named its trail in progress - the Grafton Legacy Trail, so called because it will take years to complete and because it is a gift to future residents to enjoy the open spaces that have drawn current residents to live the town and cherish deeply. The trail is currently about a mile in length, with another mile or so under easement and waiting for construction. The entire trail will run a little over 15 miles from the north end to the south end of the Town when completed. It is a multi-use trail that allows horses as well as walkers, hikers, skiers and snowshoers. It may be open to off-road bikes in the future, not just yet.
If anyone is interested in volunteering this spring to help construct the next trail segment, just send us a note and we will forward it to the Town of Grafton Open Space Commission.
