Mequon Nature Preserve | Green Luminary® Award

30.03.2016
Mequon Nature Preserve can capture, store and help clean hundreds of thousands of gallons of water every time it rains. See how they do it with traditional green infrastructures like rain barrels and green roofs, and newer green infrastructure concepts like underground cisterns. A Green Luminary® helps protect our rivers and Lake Michigan by adopting practices that harvest rainfall for other uses, or mimic nature, by draining it into the ground to reduce water pollution. To learn more about MMSD's Green Luminary® program visit: https://www.mmsd.com/what-we-do/gre...
